Coastal Restoration
The Bayou Dularge Ridge Restoration and Marsh Creation Project (TE-0170) being performed by the Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority (CPRA) is a continuation of the NRCS Bayou Dularge Ridge, Marsh & Hydrologic Restoration Project. The project features included in the CPRA project include the restoration of approximately 22,750+ linear feet of ridge along the southern bank of Bayou Dularge and create and/or nourish nearly 500 acres of marsh. The borrow area totals 239 acres with approximately 5.5 million cubic yards of available dredged material from the Lake Mechant borrow site. The ridge restoration will utilize material from either Bayou Dularge or within the marsh creation footprint. The project is funded through NRDA Restoration Plan #8 through the LA Trustee Implementation Group (TIG).
